RESOLUTION NO. 20-93

 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PETITION FOR

 THE INCLUSION OF CITY PROPERTY IN THE

 CLIFTON WATER DISTRICT

 WHEREAS, the City owns the following described real property situated south of the Town of Whitewater, Colorado, in Township 2 South, Range 1 East of the Ute Meridian, Mesa County, Colorado:

Section 23:  The SE1/4 of the NE 1/4; AND ALSO

     Commencing at a point which is 90 feet South of the Northwest corner of the NE1/4 of the SE 1/4, thence North to the Northwest corner of said NE 1/4 SE 1/4, thence East a distance of 1320 feet to the Northeast corner of said NE 1/4 SE 1/4, thence South a distance of 630 feet, thence Northwesterly in a straight line to the Point of Beginning.

Section 24:  The SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4;

     The NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4; the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4; the N 1/2 of the NW 1/4 SW 1/4, EXCEPT THE NORTH 25.0 FEET, AND ALSO the East 25.0 feet of the SW 1/4 NW 1/4; and

 WHEREAS, the Clifton Water District of Mesa County is considering the inclusion of certain parcels of land located near the Town of Whitewater within the Clifton Water District boundaries; and

 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grand Junction has determined that such action would be beneficial to the above described City property.

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 That the City Manager, on behalf of the City and as the act of the City, is hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary petitions and such other documents as may be required to include the above described property within the boundaries of the Clifton Water District.
