RESOLUTION NO. 39-93
A RESOLUTION REGARDING FEDERAL-AID OFF-SYSTEM FUNDING
FOR HAZARD ELIMINATION PROJECT HOS0003(38)
12TH STREET AT ELM AVENUE AND AT NORTH AVENUE IN GRAND JUNCTION
RECITALS.
The City Council of the City of Grand Junction resolved in Resolution 23-92 to enter into a contract with the State of Colorado, Department of Transportation to participate in a Federally funded, State-administered traffic signal and intersection improvement project at 12th and Elm and 12th and North; and
The total cost of the preliminary engineering, utilities and construction for the relocation of traffic signals at, and improvements to, the intersection of 12th Street and North Avenue and 12th Street and Elm Avenue is $320,000.00, to be funded as follows:
a. Federal participating funds $264,705.00
(90% of $294,117)
b. Local Agency Share
(1) Local Agency participating funds
(10% of $294,117) $ 29,412.00
(2) The Local Agency non-participating
funds for fugitive petroleum health
and safety management and/or
remediation $ 20,000.00
(3) The Local Agency non-participating
funds for indirect costs incurred
by the Local Agency and/or the
State (2% of $294,117) $ 5,883.00
SUBTOTAL (LOCAL AGENCY SHARE) $ 55,295.00
TOTAL PROJECT FUNDS $320,000.00
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, AS FOLLOWS:
(1) The City Council approves the matching of said Federal
funds with City funds in the amount of $55,295.00.
(2) The City Council appropriated the sum of $28,144.05 in
the 1992 Budget, and the balance of $27,150.95 in the
1993 Budget.
(3) This resolution shall be in full force and effect upon
its passage and approval.
