CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

RESOLUTION NO. 72-93

A RESOLUTION ALLOWING FOR AN EXCHANGE OF ANIMAL UNITS PER MONTH BETWEEN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION AND BILL LORING

Recitals.

The City of Grand Junction has a total of 1829 AUM's in the Whitewater Common Allotment for grazing on BLM lands.

Mr. Bill Loring has proposed an exchange of 137 AUM's (animal units per month) with the City. The proposal provides the Davis allotment to be divided into two allotments, the Davis allotment and the North Fork of Kannah Creek allotment. Mr. Loring would give the City 137 AUM's from the North Fork of Kannah Creek allotment while the City would give Mr. Loring 137 AUM's from the Whitewater allotment.

The exchange would give Mr. Loring better accessibility and the City would have control of the grazing above Juniata and Purdy Mesa Reservoirs.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION THAT the proposal for exchange of 137 AUM's between the City and Mr. Bill Loring is approved and the City Manager is authorized to sign the Range Agreement.

Read and approved this 3rd day of November, 1993.
