CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

 

 Resolution No. 92-93

 ACCEPTING A CONTRACT WITH THE COLORADO HISTORICAL SOCIETY

 FOR STATE HISTORICAL FUND GRANT

 

 

 

 WHEREAS, the downtown area of Grand Junction possesses the majority of historic resources within the City; and

 

 WHEREAS, a survey of these resources will provide a base of information from which to plan further historic preservation and neighborhood conservation activities; and

 

 WHEREAS, on May 17, 1993 the Colorado Historical Society announced approval of a $10,000 grant to the City of Grand Junction to fund the first phase of a historic resources survey project; and

 

 WHEREAS, the community has matched this grant with in-kind services of a Mesa State College student and $600 donated by the Downtown Association and the Downtown Development Authority.

 

 

 

 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

 

 That the contract with the Colorado Historical Society for disbursement of the State Historical Fund Grant for the first phase of the Historic Resources Survey is hereby approved.
