RESOLUTION NO. 8-94

 

 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT FOR FEDERAL-AID OFF-SYSTEM FUNDING

 FOR HAZARD ELIMINATION PROJECT SHO M555-002

 STREET LIGHTING ON HIGHWAY I-70B

 STARTING WEST OF REDLANDS PARKWAY, EAST TO NORTH AVE.

 

 

RECITALS.

 

 The City Council of the City of Grand Junction resolved in Resolution 8-94 to enter into a contract with the State of Colorado, Department of Transportation to participate in a Federally funded street lighting project on Highway I-70B from approximately 23-1/2 Road to North Avenue; and

 

 The total cost of the preliminary engineering and construction of the street lights are to be funded as follows:

 

[a]  Federal participating funds    $171,000.00    (85.5% of $200,000)

 

[b]  Local Agency Share

 

 (1)  Local Agency participating funds

   (14.4% of $200,000)          $ 29,000.00

 

 (2)  The Local Agency non-participating

   funds for indirect costs incurred

   by the Local Agency and/or the

   State (2% of $200,000)        $ 4,000.00

 

 SUBTOTAL (LOCAL AGENCY SHARE)        $ 33,000.00

 

 

 TOTAL PROJECT FUNDS            $204,000.00

 

 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, AS FOLLOWS:

 

 (1)  The City Council approves the matching of said Federal

   funds with City funds in the amount of $33,000.00.

 (2)  The City Council appropriated the sum of $20,350.00 in the 1994 Budget, and intends to appropriate the balance of $12,650.00 in the first supplemental appropriation in 1994.

 (3)  This resolution shall be in full force and effect upon

   its passage and approval.
