RESOLUTION NO. 122-95

AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR GROUP TERM LIFE INSURANCE BETWEEN THE

CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION AND KANSAS CITY LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY

 WHEREAS, the City of Grand Junction has solicited proposals from companies to provide group term life insurance for its employees and their dependents; and

 WHEREAS, the Kansas City Life Insurance Company provided the lowest rate quote for this life insurance product; and

 WHEREAS, the Kansas City Life Insurance Company has an excellent service reputation and is rated strong in the area of financial stability and security.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

That the City Manager, on behalf of the City, is hereby authorized and directed to sign a contract with Kansas City Life Insurance Company for group term life insurance.
