RESOLUTION NO. 69-95

 

 

 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT FOR FEDERAL-AID OFF-SYSTEM FUNDING FOR HAZARD ELIMINATION PROJECT STM M555-006. STREET LIGHTING ON HIGHWAY I-70B AND NORTH AVENUE.

 

RECITALS.

 

 The City Council of the City of Grand Junction, hereby resolved in Resolution 69-95 to enter into a contract with the State of Colorado, Department of Transportation to participate in a Federally funded street lighting project on Highway I-70B from Independent Avenue to 1st Street and North Avenue from 29 Road to I-70B.

 

 The total cost of the preliminary engineering, equipment and construction of the street lights are to be funded as follows:

 

[a]  Federal participating funds    $144,000.00  

 

[b]  Local Agency Share

 

 (1)  Local Agency participating funds  $ 38,309.00

 

 (2)  The Local Agency non-participating

   funds for indirect costs incurred

   by the Local Agency and/or the

   State (2%)          $ 3,647.00

 

 SUBTOTAL (LOCAL AGENCY SHARE)        $ 41,956.00

 

 TOTAL PROJECT FUNDS            $185,956.00

 

 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, AS FOLLOWS:

 

 (1)  The City Council approves the matching of said Federal

   funds with City funds in the amount of $41,956.00.

 

 (2)  The City Council appropriated the sum of $41,956.00 in the 1995 Budget, and intends to appropriate the balance of $144,000.00 of which this portion of funding will be reimbursed back to the City of Grand Junction upon completion of the project.
