RESOLUTION NO. 98-95

Authorizing the use of Public Service Company undergrounding funds for the 15th Street and Wellington Avenue Project.

WHEREAS, a development project is scheduled for construction adjacent to 15th Street and Wellington Avenue and the construction requires the relocation of the existing power facilities; and

WHEREAS, the City Council believes the undergrounding of these existing power lines is necessary for the overall upgrade of the area; and

WHEREAS, under the Public Service franchise, funds are allotted for such purposes.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

That the use of undergrounding funds to underground utilities along Wellington Avenue, east of 15th Street for approximately 750 feet is approved for such amounts as the City Manager may designate.
