RESOLUTION NO. 6-96

   A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT FOR FEDERAL-AID FUNDS FROM THE INTERMODAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION EFFICIENCY ACT OF 1991 FOR THE PROJECT IDENTIFIED AS STE C080-009, OR THE BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE OVER THE COLORADO RIVER.

RECITALS:

 The City Council of the City of Grand Junction, hereby resolved in Resolution -96, to enter into a contract with the State of Colorado, Department of Transportation to participate in a Federally funded project to construct a bicycle and pedestrian footbridge across the Colorado River.

 The total cost of the preliminary engineering, material and construction of the footbridge are to funded as follows:

a.  Federal participating funds        $ 168,322

 (80% of $210,402)

b.  Local Agency Share            $ 42,080

                   ----------

         TOTAL PROJECT FUNDS   $ 210,402  

 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, AS FOLLOWS:

 The City Council approves the matching of Federal funds with City funds in the amount of $42,080.
