RESOLUTION No. 57-97

 REGARDING THE APPOINTMENT OF AN ALTERNATE

HEARING OFFICER FOR LIQUOR AND BEER LICENSING

WHEREAS, the City of Grand Junction by ordinance has provided for and established a Local Licensing Authority for liquor and beer licensing and enforcement, and

WHEREAS, the City ordinance, in accordance with the provisions of §§12-46-103 and 12-47-103 C.R.S., provides that the City Council shall appoint a hearing officer, and

WHEREAS, the situation may arise where the Hearing Officer may be unavailable or may have a conflict necessitating the appointment of an Alternate Hearing Officer to transact the business of the Local Licensing Authority, and

WHEREAS, Jim Majors has been recommended by the Hearing Officer, the City Clerk and the City Attorney for reappointment as Alternate Hearing Officer for Liquor and Beer Licensing in and for the City of Grand Junction;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 That the City Council, sitting in public session this 17th day of September, 1997, hereby reappoints Jim Majors as Alternate Hearing Officer for liquor and beer licensing in and for the City of Grand Junction in accordance with Chapter 4 of the Code of Ordinances, Colorado Revised Statutes and the regulations promulgated thereunder until further order of the Council.
