RESOLUTION NO. 57-99

 

AMENDING AND ESTABLISHING RATES USED TO COMPUTE

ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AGAINST PROPERTIES LOCATED IN

ALLEY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS

 

 

 WHEREAS, City of Grand Resolution No. 61-90, passed and adopted by the City Council on the 13th day of September, 1990, and amended by City of Grand Junction Resolution No. 16-97, passed and adopted by the City Council on the 17th day of February, 1997, established rates used to compute assessments levied against properties included in Alley Improvement Districts; and

 

 WHEREAS, Since the passage of City Resolution No. 61-90, costs to construct alleys have increased approximately 40 percent; and

 

 WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be appropriate and prudent to increase the assessment rates established by City Resolution No. 61-90.

 

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITRESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

1.  The Single-Family assessment rate shall be $8.00 per each linear foot of property abutting the alley right-of-way.

 

2.  The Multi-Family assessment rate shall be $15.00 per each linear foot of property abutting the alley right-of-way.

 

3.  The Non-Residential assessment rate shall be $31.50 per each linear foot of property abutting the alley right-of-way.

 

4.  All other provisions and conditions of City Resolution No. 61-90 and City Resolution No. 16-97 shall remain in full force and effect.
