Resolution No. 74-99

VACATING A UTILTY EASEMENT

Recitals:

 This resolution vacates 15’ wide utility easement located between Lots 5 and 6 of Block 11 in the Sherwood Addition Subdivision. The relevant utility companies have been notified of this request and have consented to this vacation.

 The Planning Commission has heard and considered the request and found that the criteria of the Code to have been met. The Planning Commission recommends that the vacation be approved.

 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION THAT:

1. The following described easement is hereby vacated:

The west 7.5 feet of Lot 5, Block 11, Sherwood Addition recorded in Plat Book 8 at Page 2 of the records of the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder, Section 11, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian, City of Grand Junction, County of Mesa, State of Colorado, containing 1050 square feet more or less.

The east 7.5 feet of Lot 6, Block 11, Sherwood Addition recorded in Plat Book 8 at Page 2 of the records of the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder, Section 11, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian, City of Grand Junction, County of Mesa, State of Colorado, containing 1050 square feet more or less.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 16th day of June, 1999.
