RESOLUTION 77-01

 

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT FOR FEDERAL-AID FUNDS FROM THE TRANSPORTATION EQUITY ACT OF 1998 FOR THE 21ST CENTURY (TEA-21) FOR THE PROJECT IDENTIFIED AS STE M555-015, SOUTH CAMP PHASE II, SUB=13659 FOR A BIKE PED TRAIL IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS FROM SOUTH BROADWAY TO MONUMENT ROAD ALONG SOUTH CAMP ROAD.

 

RECITALS:

 

The City Council of the City of Grand Junction, hereby resolved in Resolution 77-01 to enter into a contract with the State of Colorado, Department of Transportation to participate in a Federally funded project for South Camp Road Phase II, a Bike/Pedestrian Trail in various locations from South Broadway to Monument Road along South Camp Road.

 

The total cost of the preliminary engineering, material and construction of the path are to be funded as follows

 

a. Federal participating funds            

(80% of $314,000)              $251,200.00

 

b.  Local Agency Share

(20%)                  $ 62,800.00

       

 

TOTAL PROJECT FUNDS            $314,000.00

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, AS FOLLOWS:

 

The City Council approves the matching of Federal funds with City funds in the amount of $62,800.00
