ORDINANCE NO. 233.

 

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SUNDAY CLOSING.

 

Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

 

Section 1. No person shall open, conduct, carry on or give any theatrical performance, circus, show, dance, or public entertainment for pay within the City of Grand Junction on Sunday. Any shift or device to evade any part of this ordinance shall be held to constitute a violation of this ordinance and shall be punished accordingly.

 

Section 2. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not less than Twenty-five Dollars nor more than Two Hundred Dollars for each offense.

 

Passed and adopted this 12th day of January A. D. 1915.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance Concerning Sunday Closing," was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, held on the 29th day of December, A. D. 1914, and that the same was published in full in the Daily News, a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said city, at least ten days before its passage.
