ORDINANCE NO. 240.

 

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THEATRES.

 

Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

 

 Section 1. The terms and provisions of Sections 9, 10, 11 and 21 of Ordinance No. 227, passed and adopted July 14, 1914, shall not apply to buildings already constructed used for theatrical or operatic purposes, for a period of one year, next after the going into effect of this ordinance; provided, such building shall be made to comply with said Ordinance No. 227 in all other respects, and that the Mayor and the Chief of the Fire Department, after inspecting such building, shall authorize such building to be run for theatrical and operatic purposes.

 

Passed and adopted this 5th day of October, A. D. 1915.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance Concerning Theatres," was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, held on the 21st day of September, A. D. 1915, and that the same was published in full in The Daily News, a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said city, at least ten days before its passage.
