ORDINANCE NO. 250.

 

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LICENSES AND RIDING BICYCLES ON PUBLIC SIDEWALKS.

 

Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

 

Section 1. The charge for licenses running for less than six months and for which a six months rate is provided, shall be as follows:

 

1 month, 30 per cent. of six months' rate.

2 months, 50 per cent. of six months' rate.

3 months, 65 per cent. of six months' rate.

4 months, 80 per cent. of six months' rate.

5 months, 90 per cent. of six months' rate.

 

Provided, however, an express license shall not be issued for the month of December or any part thereof for less than $5.00.

 

Section 2. No person shall in the City of Grand Junction ride or drive a bicycle or motor cycle upon any of the public sidewalks thereof, Any person violating any provision of this section shall upon conviction be fined not less than $1.00 nor more than $50.00 for each offense.

 

Passed and adopted this 31st day of May, A. D. 1916.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance Concerning Licenses and Riding Bicycles on Public Sidewalks," was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, held on the 16th day of May, A. D. 1916, and that the same was published in full in The Daily Sentinel, a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said city, at least ten days before its passage.
