ORDINANCE NO. 258

 

 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF WATER AND SEWERS.

 

 WHEREAS, since the adoption of the appropriation Ordinance for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1917, an unforeseen emergency has arisen because of the war making necessary the keeping of a guard both night and day at the City Reservoir and the appropriation for the water fund for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1917, has by reason of said emergency been exhausted.

 

Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

 

 Section 1. That there be and hereby is appropriated for the purpose of maintaining and defraying the necessary expense of the Department of Water and Sewers for the remainder of the fiscal year ending December 31, 1917, the sum of One Thousand ($1000) Dollars.

 

 Sec. 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication.

 

Passed and adopted by unaminous vote of the City Council this 14th day of November, A. D. 1917.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance Providing for an Emergency Appropriation for the Maintenance of the Department of Water and Sewers," was introduced, read, passed and ordered published by an unanimous vote of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular adjourned meeting of said Council held on the 14th day of November, A. D. 1917.
