ORDINANCE NO. 263.

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 239, PASSED AND ADOPTED AUGUST 10, 1915.

 

Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

 

That Ordinance No. 239, passed and adopted August 10, 1915, entitled "An Ordinance Amending Section 36 of Ordinance No. 178, Passed and Adopted June 11, 1910." be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows, to-wit:

 

Section 1. The County Treasurer shall receive payment of all assessments against any real estate appearing upon said last mentioned roll, with interest, and in case of default in the payment of any installment of principal or interest when due, shall advertise and sell any and all real estate concerning which such default is suffered for the payment of the due but unpaid installment or installments with interest thereon. And said sales and advertisements shall be made at the same time or times, in the same manner and under all the same conditions and penalties and to the same effect as are provided by the general law of the State of Colorado for the sale of real estate in default of payment of general taxes. The holder of a Certificate from the County Treasurer, including the City of Grand Junction, showing payment of a similar prior assessment, may have subsequent assessments endorsed thereon under the same terms and conditions as is provided by the general law of the State of Colorado for the endorsement of subsequent taxes on Tax Certificates.

 

Passed and adopted this 13th day of February, A. D., 1918.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 229, passed and adopted August 10, 1915," was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, held on the 29th day of January, A. D. 1918, and that the same was published in full in the Daily News, a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said City, at least ten days before its passage.
