ORDINANCE NO. 267

 

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE WATER RATES OR RENTS AND THE COLLECTION THEREOF, AND AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 206, PASSED AND ADOPTED NOVEMBER 3, 1912.

 

Be it ordained by the City Council of the city of Grand Junction; Colorado:

 

Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 206, passed and adopted November 3, 1912, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows, to-wit:

 

"All persons using water from the City Water works shall on the first day of January, April, July and October of each year, except as otherwise by ordinance provided, procure a new license for the use of water and pay the rent therefor. If paid within 10 days from the date the same shall become due and payable, a discount of five per cent. shall be given. If not paid within 30 days from the due date the water shall be shut off. All charges for the use of water supplied to any premises shall be a lien on such premises and whenever the water shall be shut off any premises on account of non payment of water rent, the same shall not again be turned on to the said premises until the back water rent and the rent then due under the ordinances of the City shall have been paid, together with one dollar additional for the trouble and expense of shutting off and turning on the water.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance Concerning Water Rates or Rents and the Collection Thereof, and Amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 206, passed and adopted November 3, 1912", was introduced, read and ordered published at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, held on the 28th day of May, A. D. 1918, and that the same was published in full in the Daily News, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said city, at least ten days before its final passage.
