ORDINANCE NO. 274.

 

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SALARIES.

 

Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

 

Section 1. The salaries of the employees of the City of Grand Junction filling the following named offices shall be as herein given, said salaries to be payable at the close of each and every month:

 

City Attorney  $75.00

Janitor City Hall  35.00

 

POLICE DEPARTMENT.

Chief of Police  $115.00

Policemen  90.00

Special Night Police  40.00

 

FIRE DEPARTMENT.

Fire Chief and ex-officio City Weigher  $105.00

Assistant Fire Chief  90.00

Firemen  85.00

 

WATER DEPARTMENT.

Keeper at Intake  $70.00

Foreman of Construction and Repair  115.00

 

That there shall be paid as part salary on March 1, 1919, in addition to the foregoing, the following amounts, the said payments being made because of the prevailing high price of living and only to those employees who work continually from the date of the passage of this Ordinance to March 1, 1919:

 

To Chief of Police  $40.00

To Policemen  30.00

To Chief of Fire Department  40.00

To Assistant Chief of Fire Department  40.00

To Firemen  30.00

To Foreman of Construction and Repair  40.00

 

Passed and adopted this 26th day of November, A. D. 1918.
