ORDINANCE NO. 283.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND CARE OF THE PUBLIC PARKS.

 

WHEREAS, since the adoption of the appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1919, an unforeseen contingency has arisen because of the necessity for repairs, improvements and strengthening of certain buildings in Lincoln Park, caused by holding therein in the Autumn of 1919 of a County Fair, the expense for which will exceed the appropriation heretofore made for the improvement and care of the public parks;

 

THEREFORE, Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

 

Section 1. That there be and hereby is appropriated for the purpose of maintaining, improving and caring for the public parks for the remainder of the fiscal year ending December 31, 1919, the sum of $2,000.00.

 

Passed and adopted this 24th day of June, A. D. 1919.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance Providing for an Emergency Appropriation for the Maintenance of the Public Parks," was introduced, read and ordered published at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, held on the 10th day of June, A. D. 1919, and that the same was published in full in The Daily News, a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said city, at least ten days before its passage.
