ORDINANCE NO. 299.

 

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE COST OF ONE-HALF OF PROTECTIVE WORK DONE ON THE RIVER BANK IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION SOUTH AND EAST OF THE MAIN STREET BRIDGE.

 

Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction.

 

Section 1. That the following sum of money or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated for the purpose of defraying onehalf the expense of the installation of certain protective work heretofore done on the bank of the Colorado River in the City of Grand Junction to the South and East of the Main Street Bridge, the sum of Thirty six Hundred Dollars ($3600.00).

 

Section 2. The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that this ordinance is necessary for the payment of an expense the necessity of which was caused by unforeseen contingency arising after the passage of the annual appropriation ordinance of the City of Grand Junction, and for the preservation of the public safety. That it is passed by the unanimous vote of all members of the Council as a special emergency and shall take effect immediately upon passage and publication thereof.

I hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance entitled "An ordinance providing for a special appropriation for the cost of one-half of protective work done on the river bank in the City of Grand Junction South and East of the Main Street Bridge" was introduced read and passed by the unanimous vote of all of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction at an adjourned meeting of the City Council of the said City held on the 10th day of June 1921.
