The Annual Appropriation Ordinance of the City of Grand Junction, Colo., providing for the expenses and liabilities of the City of Grand Junction for the fiscal year beginning January 1st, A.D. 1922 and ending December 31st, A.D. 1922.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:
First-- | For maintaining the Fire Department | $10,800.00 |
Second-- | For maintaining the Police Department | 6,675.00 |
Third-- | For lighting the streets and public buildings............................ | 11,500.00 |
Fourth-- | For maintainence of the Free Public Library.............................. | 3,000.00 |
Fifth-- | For maintaining, extending, and operating the City Water Works....... | 15,760.00 |
Sixth-- | For maintaining the Sewers | 800.00 |
Seventh-- | For maintaining and improving the streets and alleys and water for irrigation........................... | 18,375.00 |
Eighth-- | For maintaining and improving the health conditions of the city........ | 8,000.00 |
Ninth-- | For car and improving the public parks and Cemetaries................. | 14,000.00 |

Section 2. That for the purpose of defraying the necessary expenses and liabilities of the said City of Grand Junction, Colorado, for the fiscal year beginning January 1st, 1922, and ending December 31st, A.D. 1922, there shall be and hereby is levied and assessed upon all the taxable property situated within the corporated limits of the City of Grand Junction, both real and personal, the following amounts for special and general taxes, to-wit:
First- For the purpose of defraying the expenses and maintenance of the Free Public Liabrary, a tax of thirty-eight hundredths (.38) of one mill on each dollar of said property so assessed or to be assessed.
Second-For the purpose of defraying the necessary expenses and liabilities of the said City of Grand Junction, and for the payment of interest on outstanding bonds and warrants and for the payment of portion of the bonded indebtedness of said city, a tax of fourteen and sixty-two (14.62) hundredths mills on each dollar of said property so assessed or to be assessed.
Passed and adopted this 29 day of November, A.D. 1921.

I hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance entitled "The Annual Appropriation Ordinances of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado Providing for the Expenses and Liabilities of the City of Grand Junction for the Fiscal Year beginning January 1st. A.D. 1922 and ending December 31st. A.D. 1922" was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 29th day of November A.D. 1921 and the same was ordered published in full in the Daily Sentinel a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said city at least ten days before it's passage.
In Witness Wherefore, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Official Seal of said city this 29 day of November A.D. 1921.
