ORDINANCE NO. 306

 

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1, ARTICLE 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 83, PASSED AND ADOPTED JUNE 30 1899.

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 

 That Section 1 of Article 2 of Ordinance No. 83, passed and adopted June 30th 1899, and entitled "An ordinance concerning offenders in the nature of misdemeanors and prescribing penalties and fines thereof", be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

 

 

 Section 1, Article 2. No dog, bitch or whelp shall be allowed to run at large within the limits of the City of Grand Junction, unless the owner or keeper of same, shall, before the first day of April of each year, pay to the City of Grand Junction, the sum of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) for each and every male dog over six months old and the sum of five dollars ($5.00) for each and every bitch over six months old; and shall also place upon the neck of such dog or bitch, a collar made of durable material; and upon the issuance of the Proclamation of the President of the Council, as hereinafter provided, shall also cause the mouth of any such dog or bitch to be securely muzzled with a wire muzzle for such time as may be prescribed by the President of the Council in said proclamation.

 

 

Passed and adopted this 15th, day of Feb. A.D. 1922.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing ordinance entitled "An ordinance amending Section 1 Article 2 of Ordinance No. 83, passed and adopted June 30 A.D. 1899", was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colo., held on the 15th day of February A.D. 1922; and that the same was published in the Daily News, a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said city, at least ten days before it's passage.
