ORDINANCE NO. 312

 

 

 AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE SALARY OF THE CITY TREASURER

 

 

 WHEREAS, it has become necessary that the City Treasurer devote his full time as such Treasurer at the City Hall, and

 

 

 WHEREAS, the salary heretofore fixed for City Treasurer is insufficient to employ a City Treasurer on full time.

 

 

 THEREFORE: Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction:

 

 

 Section 1. That the City Treasurer of the City of Grand Junction shall receive the following monthly salary, payable at the close of each and every month, viz:

 

 

   City Treasurer . . . . $125.00

 

 

 Section 2. That all Ordinances and parts thereof in conflict with this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed.

 

 

Section 3. This Ordinance is passed because of a special emergency for the preservation of the public safety, and shall go into effect on its passage.

 

 

Passed and adopted this 22nd day of March, A.D. 1922.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing ordinance entitled, "An Emergency Ordinance concerning the salary of the City Treasurer", was read, passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance and numbered 312 by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction and the same was ordered published in the Daily News, a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said city.
