ORDINANCE NO. 317

 

 

 An ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 251, passed and adopted June 30th, 1916, and entitled "An Ordinance concerning sprinkling hours."

 

 

 Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction:

 

 

 Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 251, passed and adopted June 30th, 1916 and entitled "An Ordinance concerning sprinkling hours", be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

 

 

 Section 1. The use of water from the city water works for sprinkling lawns, gardens and trees will be permitted as follows: On residence or other property in the City of Grand Junction having even numbers, or if numbered would have even numbers, during the months of April May, June, July, August and September shall only be done on the even number days of each month.

 

 

 On residence or other property in the City of Grand Junction having odd numbers, or if numbered would have odd numbers, during the months of April, May, June, July, August and September, shall only be done on the odd number days of each month.

 

 

 Provided however, the use of water for sprinkling school, jail or library lawns and trees shall be permitted on every day from 7 o'clock of the forenoon to 6 o'clock of the afternoon and at no other time. The use of water for sprinkling City Parks shall be permitted at any time in the discretion of the City Manager.

 

 

Passed and adopted this 10th day of May A.D. 1922.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 251, passed and adopted June 30th, 1916, and entitled "An Ordinance concerning sprinkling hours" was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, held on the 26th day of April A.D. 1922 and that the same was published in full in the Daily News, a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said city, at least ten days before its passage.
