ORDINANCE NO. 320.

 

 

 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR PROTECTION OF COLORADO RIVER BANK.

 

 

 WHEREAS, since the adoption of the appropriation Ordinance for the fiscal year of 1922, an unforseen contingency has arisen because of the danger of unusually high waters, necessitating repairs and strengthening of the Colorado River bank south of the Main Street bridge and on the east bank of said river.

 

 

 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction:

 

 

 Section 1. That there be and hereby is appropriated, for the purpose of repairing and strengthening the Colorado River bank, south of the Main Street bridge and on the east bank of said river, the sum of $700.00.

 

 

 Section 2. That said sum of $700.00 be appropriated from the General Fund of the City of Grand Junction.

 

 

Passed and adopted this 5th day of July A.D. 1922.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing ordinance entitled "An Ordinance providing for an emergency appropriation from the General Fund for protection of Colorado River bank", was introduced and read at a regular adjourned session of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction held on the 14th day of June, A.D. 1922 and that the same was ordered published in the Daily News, a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said city at least ten days before its passage.
