ORDINANCE. No. 333

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 313, ENTITLED "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE WATER RATES OR RENTS AND THE COLLECTION THEREOF AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICTION WITH THIS ORDINANCE," PASSED and Adopted the 22nd Day of March, 1922, By ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 9."

 

Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction:

 

Section one: That ordinance No. 313 entitled "An Emergency ordinance concerning the water rates or rents and the collection thereof and repealing all ordinances and parts thereof in conflict with this ordinance", passed and adopted the 22nd day of March, 1922, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section designated as Section nine, to read as follows:

 

Section nine: The rent for water used by all consumers of city water for manufacturing or school uses in connection with manufactories and schools located without the city limits of the City of Grand Junction, but within a radius of four miles of fifty and main streets in the City of Grand Junction, shall be 3/10 greater than the meter rates for like uses within the City limits of the City of Grand Junction, said water to be delivered to the consumer at the nearest City water main. Manufacturing uses and manufactories are in this section used only in reference to the term "To manufacture" which is hereby defined as follows: To make or fabricate from raw materials by the hand, by art or machinery, and work into forms convenient for use. Said rates as provided in this section shall apply from and after the first day of March, A.D. 1923.

 

Passed and adopted this twenty-first day of March A.D. 1923.
