THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1ST A.D. 1924 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31ST, A.D. 1924.

 

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 Section 1.

 

1 For Interest & Principal on General City Bonds

 Section 2. That for the purposes of defraying the necessary expenses and liabilities of the said City of Grand Junction, Colorado, for the fiscal year beginning January 1st, 1924, and ending December 31st, 1924, there shall be and hereby is levied and assessed upon all the taxable property situated within the corporate limits of the City of Grand Junction, both real and personal for the purpose of defraying the necessary expenses and liabilities of the said City of Grand Junction, and for the payment of a portion of the bonded indebtedness of said City, a tax of fourteen and one-half (14.5) mills on each dollar of said property so assessed or to be assessed.

 

 Section 3. By the reason of the fact that this ordinance must be in effect on January 1st, 1924, a special emergency is declared to exist, and the City Council finds and determines that this ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, and that it shall take effect upon passage.

 

Adopted and approved this 28th day of December, A.D. 1923.

I DO HEREBY CERTIFY That the foregoing ordinance entitle "THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENSE AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1ST A.D. 1924" was introduced, read passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance, numbered 343 and ordered published in the official newspaper of the City of Grand Junction, at a regular adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, held on the 28th day of December A.D. 1923.
