ORDINANCE NO. 349

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ARTICLE 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 92, PASSED AND ADOPTED FEBRUARY 19, 1900, AND ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING WATER WORKS AND TO REPEAL CERTAIN OTHER ORDINANCES."

 

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 Section 1. That Section 1 of Article 3 of Ordinance No. 92, passed and adopted February 19, 1900, and entitled "An Ordinance Concerning Waterworks and to Repeal Certain Other Ordinance", be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

 

 Section 1. Article 3. Any plumber or plumbers desiring to carry on the business of plumbing in this City before commencing the same, must procure a license as herein provided. Such person or persons shall make application to the City Council for license to carry on the business of plumbing and shall enter into a good and sufficient bond to the City of Grand Junction with sureties to be approved by the City Council, conditioned that he will save and keep harmless the City of Grand Junction, and all persons therein of and from all accidents, damages and loss which may accrue to the said City or any of its inhabitants, by reason of his failure to comply with all the rules and regulations which are now or may be hereafter established by the City Council of the City, or by reason of the carelessness or negligence in connection with any such work. Said bond shall be in the sum of one thousand dollars, and the applicant for such license shall pay to the City Treasurer the sum of twenty-five dollars per annum, prior to the issuance of any such license, such license to be issued for one year in all cases.

 

Passed and adopted this 6th> day of February A.D. 1924.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado held on the 16th day of January, 1924, and was ordered published in the Daily Sentinel, a daily newspaper in general circulation in said city, at least ten days before its passage.
