ORDINANCE NO. 358
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 29 OF ORDINANCE NO. 309, PASSED AND ADOPTED FEBRUARY 21ST, 1922, AND ENTITLED "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE REGULATING STREET TRAFFIC OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 289, PASSED AND ADOPTED DECEMBER 2, 1919, AND ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING STREET TRAFFIC OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION."
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
Section 1. That Section 29 of Ordinance No. 309, passed and adopted February 21st, 1922, entitled "an Emergency Ordinance Regulating Street Traffic of the City of Grand Junction and Repealing Ordinance No. 289, Passed and Adopted December 2, 1919, and Entitled 'An Ordinance Regulating Street Traffic of the City of Grand Junction'," be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 29. Permits for express stands and for autos for hire may be granted by the City Manager on all streets, except for express stands on those certain streets hereinafter designated; provided that the consent of the adjoining property owner must be secured before such permit is granted; and provided further that such permit may be revoked at any time by the City Manager, if the person having such permit fails to observe any of the provisions of this ordinance or any rule issued thereunder; expressly provided, however, that no permit for express stands shall be granted on Main Street between the east line of Second Street and the west line of Seventh Street, nor on Fourth Street between the north line of Colorado Avenue and the south line of Rood Avenue, and it shall be unlawful for any person or persons, co-partnership or association to permit, allow, keep or maintain express stands on said streets within said excluded district."
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
