ORDINANCE NO. 365
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING HOSPITALS, SANITARIUMS, OR OTHER ESTABLISHMENTS FOR THE CARE OR TREATMENT OF TUBERCULOSIS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
Section 1. That no person, persons, association, company or corporation shall operate, conduct, or establish within the City Limits of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, any hospital, sanitarium, or other establishment for the keeping therein of persons having or afflicted with Tuberculosis, or for the care or treatment of Tuberculosis.
Section 2. Any person, persons, association, company or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall on conviction be fined not less than $15.00 nor more than $150.00 for each offense, and each day's failure, neglect or refusal to comply with the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed a distinct and separate offense.
Section 3. That for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, this Ordinance shall take effect on its passage, as the City Council deems that a special emergency exists.
Passed and adopted this 3rd day of September, A.D. 1924.
