ORDINANCE NO. 398

 

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING JUNK YARDS AND JUNK DEALERS, AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 146 OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON AUGUST 27, 1907.

 

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 Section 1. That Sections 1 and 3 of Ordinance No. 146 of the City of Grand Junction, passed and adopted August 27, 1907, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

 

 Section 1. Any person, persons, firm or corporation who shall buy, sell, barter, handle, trade or deal in old iron, steel, brass, copper, lead or other metals, or papers, bottles, bones, rags, hides or other like material, or who shall engage in the business of wrecking or junking vehicles or machinery, shall be termed junk dealers and subject to the provisions of this ordinance.

 

 Section 3. Every junk dealer as defined by and referred to in Section 1 of this ordinance shall pay a license fee of $50.00 per annum or for any portion thereof.

 

 Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

D. 1925, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said city, at least ten days before its final passage.
