ORDINANCE NO. 410

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE PARK DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, Since the adoption of the appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year ending December 31st, 1926, unforseen emergencies have arisen because of the necessary purchase of additional land and the construction of a Municipal Golf Course, at a cost of Four Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-five Dollars and Eighty five Cents ($4,735.85) to date, and

WHEREAS, Receipts from memberships and fees in the amount of One Thousand One Hundred Twenty-one Dollars and Fifty Cents ($1,121.50) have been collected by the City Treasurer, but can not be appropriated unless authorized by an emergency appropriation ordinance,

THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION COLORADO:

Section 1. That there be and there is hereby appropriated for the purpose of maintaining the Park Department for the remainder of the fiscal year ending December 31st, 1926, the sum of One Thousand One Hundred Twenty-one Dollars and Fifty Cents ($1,121.50).

By reason of the fact that the funds in the above named department are nearly exhausted and the work of the department must be carried on, a special emergency is declared to exist, and the City Council finds and determines that this ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, and that is ahll take effect upon its passage.

Adopted and approved this 15th day of December, A. D. 1926.
