ORDINANCE NO. 437

 

AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE OPERATION OF AIRCRAFT OVER AND IN THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION AND THE TERRITORY SUBJECT TO ITS JURISDICTION.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

SECTION 1. No person, firm or corporation shall operate or cause to be operate any aircraft for hire or award within or over the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, or within or over any territory subject to the jurisdiction of the said City of Grand Junction unless -

 

a. Such aircraft shall have a valid certificate of air-worthiness issued by the Department of Commerce of the United States.

 

b. The person operating such aircraft shall have a valid pilot's certificate issued by the Department of Commerce of the United States.

 

SECTION 2. No person, firm or corporation shall operate or cause to be operated any aircraft within or over the said City of Grand Junction or within or over the territory subject to the jurisdiction of the aid City of Grand Junction in a manner that violates any of the then existing Air Traffic Rules of the Air Commerce Regulations which have been or may hereafter be prescribed by the Department of Commerce of the United States.

 

SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than Five Dollars nor more than Three Hundred Dollars for each offense.

 

SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with any of the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

D. 1928, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a daily newspaper published and in general circulation in said city, at least ten days before its final passage.
