ORDINANCE NO. 438
THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1st, A. D. 1929, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31st, A. D. 1929.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
SECTION 1. That the following sums of money or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same are hereby appropriated for the purposes of defraying the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, for the fiscal year beginning January 1st, A. D. 1929, and ending December, 31st, A. D. 1929, to-wit:

SECTION 2. That for the purpose of defraying the necessary expenses and liabilities of the said City of Grand Junction, Colorado, for the fiscal year beginning January 1st, 1929, and ending December 31st, 1929, there shall be and hereby is levied and assessed upon all the taxable property situated within the corporate limits of the City of Grand Junction, both real and personal, for the purposes of defraying the necessary expenses and liabilities and water works purposes of the said City of Grand Junction, and for the payment of interest on outstanding bonds and for the payment of a portion of the bonded indebtedness of said City, a tax of thirteen and one-half mills on each dollar of said property so assessed.
SECTION 3. By the reason of the fact that this ordinance must be in effect on January 1st, 1929, a special emergency is declared to exist and the City Council finds and determines that the passage of this ordinance is immediately necessary for preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, and that it shall take effect upon its passage.
Adopted and approved this 5th day of December, A. D. 1928.

I HEREBY CERTIFY That the foregoing emergency ordinance entitled, "THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1st, 1929, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31st, 1929, was introduced, read, passed, and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of the said Council held on the 5th day of December, A. D. 1928, and numbered 438.
