ORDINANCE NO. 534

 

AN ORDINANCE VACATING PLAT AND AMENDED PLAT OF NISHWITZ SUBDIVISION OF GRAND JUNCTION.

 

Whereas the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, owns the east ten (10) acres of the SE1/4 NW1/4 of Section 23, T.1 S., R. 1 W., Ute Meridian, in Mesa County, Colorado; and

 

Whereas the above described property embraces and includes all of Nishwitz Subdivision of Grand Junction as platted and recorded on April 13, 1899 in Plat Book 2, at page 20 of the records of the County Clerk and Recorder of Mesa County, Colorado, and as amended by an amended plat thereof recorded on May 27, 1899 in Plat Book 2, at page 22, of the records of said County Clerk and Recorder; and the City of Grand Junction now desires to vacate the aforesaid plat and amended plat thereof.

 

Therefore, Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction:

 

Section 1. That said plat of Nishwitz Subdivision of Grand Junction and amended plat thereof, above described, be and are hereby vacated; and that a duly authenticated copy hereof shall be filed of record in the office of the County Clerk and Recorder of Mesa County, Colorado.

 

Section 2. The City Council is of the opinion, and finds, determines and declares, that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and that a special emergency exists therefor; and this ordinance shall therefore be effective and in force from and after its passage.
