ORDINANCE NO. 538

 

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR

VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.

 

WHEREAS, Since the adoption of the appropriation ordinance for the fiscal year ending December 31st, 1935, it has been necessary for the City to expend a considerable amount of money for unforeseen contingencies and for the payment in full of Park bonds, which matured January 1st, 1933.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

SECTION 1. That the following sums of money or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same are hereby appropriated out of the funds on hand in the General Fund, for the purpose of defraying necessary expenses for the balance of the fiscal year, ending December 31st, 1935.

 

Miscellaneous Fund . . . .      $1,000.00

Payment of Park Bonds . . . .     2,000.00

 

SECTION 2. That in the opinion of the City Council, a special emergency exists for the preservation of the public health and safety, and this ordinance shall therefore go into effect upon its passage.

 

Passed and adopted this 18th day of December, A. D. 1935.
