ORDINANCE NO. 587
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15 OF ORDINANCE NO. 578, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO
SECTION 1. That Section 15 of Ordinance No. 578 passed and adopted the 30th day of June, 1937, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 15. FEES FOR PERMITS. All fees for inspection permits shall be paid in advance to the City Treasurer at the following rates:
(1) Retail Sale. The permit fee for all retail sales shall be $35.00 per annum or fraction thereof.
(2) Slaughter House. The fee for each slaughter house shall be two hundred fifty ($250.00) per annum or fraction thereof for all such places within sixteen (16) miles of the City Limits of the City of Grand Junction. Slaughter houses located more than sixteen miles from said City Limits shall not be inspected by the City Veterinarian nor by his assistants.
SECTION 2. By reason of the fact that this ordinance must be in effect on January 1st, 1938, a special emergency is declared to exist and the City Council finds and determines that the passage of this ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, and that it shall take effect upon its passage.
