AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SALARIES

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 SECTION 1. The following named officers and employees of the City of Grand Junction, shall receive, not to exceed the following monthly salaries beginning March 1, 1939, payable at the end of each and every month, viz:

 SECTION 2. By reason of the fact that certain changes in the Police Department are necessary at this time, a special emergency is declared to exist and the City Council finds and determines that the passage of this ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and that it shall take effect upon its passage.

 SECTION 3. ORDINANCE NO. 539 and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

 Passed and adopted this 22nd day of February, A. D. 1939.
