ORDINANCE NO. 614

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SALARIES

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 SECTION 1. The following named officer of the City of Grand Junction, shall receive the following monthly salary beginning September 1, 1939, at the end of each and every month, viz:

 Acting City Manager . . . . . . . . . . . . . $300.00

 SECTION 2. By reason of the fact that circumstances require that an Action City Manager be appointed, a special emergency is declared to exist and the City Council finds and determines that the passage of this ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety and that it shall take effect upon its passage.

 Passed and adopted this 6th day of September, A. D. 1939.
