ORDINANCE NO. 621

AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO NORTH AVENUE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.

 WHEREAS, F. C. Martin, W. R. Hall, Frank T. Knapp, James E. Thompson, Anna M. Simpson, Howard O. Wolf, et al, as owners of the following described land, to-wit:

 Beginning at the southwest corner of Section 11, T. 1 S., R. 1 W, Ute Meridian, thence east 2,482 feet, thence north 330 feet to the south bank of the Mesa County Ditch, thence northwesterly along the south bank of the said ditch to a point due north of the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 7, Shafroth-Rogers Subdivision, thence south to the northwest corner of the said Lot 1, Block 7, thence west 1,649 feet, thence south 44 degrees, 27 1/2 minutes, west 299.85 feet, thence west 70 feet, thence south to point of beginning, which includes all of Blocks 4, 5, 6, and 7, Shafroth-Rogers Subdivision, as recorded on Page 2, Book 6 of the records in the Mesa County Clerk's office, and which is to be and remain so designated:

 have requested that said territory be admitted to the City of Grand Junction by ordinance as provided by Section 302, Chapter 163, Colorado Statutes Annotated, and have laid out said territory in lots, blocks, streets and alleys to the extent that the size and location of said tract will permit, according to the plat of North Avenue Addition to the City of Grand Junction and on file with the City Engineer of the City of Grand Junction:

 WHEREAS, said tract is adjacent to the City of Grand Junction but is not embraced within the limits of the same nor of any other municipal corporation; and

 WHEREAS, a special session of the Council was held on January 10th, 1940, for the purpose of considering objections to such admission as advertised in the manner required by law, and no objections having been made at such special session:

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:

 Section 1. That the platting of the above described territory as appears by the above mentioned plat be and is hereby authorized and approved.

 Section 2. That the above described territory be and is hereby annexed to said City as North Avenue Addition to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, and that all portions of Shafroth-Rogers Subdivision included therein shall be and remain so designated.

 Passed and adopted this 24th day of January, A. D. 1940.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 621 was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular adjourned meeting held on the 10th day of January, A. D. 1940, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
