ORDINANCE NO. 628
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO DETRICK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION.
WHEREAS C. O. Detrick and Marie Detrick as owners of the following described land, to-wit:
Beg. 1034.28 ft. east of the S.W. Cor. of Sec. 12, T. 1 S., R. 1. W. Ute Meridian; thence N. 329.74 ft.; E 105.19 ft; S 329.74 ft.; W. 105.19 ft. to beginning, Grand View Subdivision, in Mesa County, Colorado;
have requesting that said territory be admitted to the City of Grand Junction by ordinance as provided by Section 302, Chapter 163, Colorado Statues Annotated, and have laid out said territory in lots, blocks, streets and alleys to the extent that the size and location of said tract will permit, according to the plat of Detrick Addition to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, on file with the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, and on file with the City Engineer of the City of Grand Junction;
WHEREAS said tract is adjacent to the City of Grand Junction, but is not embraced within the limits of the same nor of any other municipal corporation; and
WHEREAS a special session of the Council was held on May 15, 1940, for the purpose of considering objections to such admission as advertised in the manner required by law, and no objections having been made at such special session;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:
Section 1. That the platting of the above described territory as appears by the above mentioned plat be and is hereby authorized and approved.
Section 2. That the above described territory be and is hereby annexed to said City as Detrick Addition to the City of Grand Junction.
Passed and adopted this 5th day of June, A. D. 1940.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 628, was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 5th day of June, A. D. 1940, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
