ORDINANCE NO. 642

AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO TOPE SCHOOL SUBDIVISION AND THE WEST ONE-HALF OF BLOCK "A", COLLEGE SUB-DIVISION

TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION

 WHEREAS, School District No. 1 and the Biggs Kurtz Investment Co. as owners of the following described land, to-wit:

 The West one-half of Block "A", College Subdivision in the SW1/4 of the NE1/4 of Sec. 11, T. 1 S., R. 1 W., Ute Meridian including the east one-half of Seventh Street and the twenty-foot alley in the said Block "A"; also all of the Tope School Subdivision in the SE1/4, NE1/4, Sec. 11, T. 1 S., R. 1 W., Ute Meridian, including all streets

 have requested that said territory be admitted to the City of Grand Junction by Ordinance as provided by Section 302, Chapter 163, Colorado Statues Annotated, and have laid out said territory into lots, blocks, streets and alleys to the extent that the size and location of said tract will permit, according to the plat of said tract on record in the office of the County Clerk and Recorder or Mesa County, Colorado; and

 WHEREAS, said tract is adjacent to the City of Grand Junction, but is not embraced within the limits of the same nor of any other municipal corporation; and

 WHEREAS, a special session of the Council was held on January 8th, 1941, for the purpose of considering objections to such admission as advertised in the manner required by law, and no objections having been made at such special session:

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 Section 1. That the West one-half of Block "A", College Subdivision in the SW1/4 of the NE1/4 of Sec. 11, T. 1 S., R. 1 W., Ute Meridian including the east one-half of Seventh Street and the twenty-foot alley in the said Block "A"; also all of the Tope School Subdivision in the SE1/4 Sec. 11, T. 1 S., R. 1 W., Ute Meridian, including all streets, as shown by the recorded plat thereof in the County Clerk and Recorder's office of Mesa County, Colorado, be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the said City of Grand Junction, Colorado.

 Passed and adopted this 22nd day of January, A. D. 1941.

 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance, being Ordinance No. 642, was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular adjourned meeting of said body held on the 8th day of January, A. D. 1941, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said City at least ten days before its final passage.
