ORDINANCE NO. 650
AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE PROVIDING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE AIRPORT AND MISCELLANEOUS FUNDS
WHEREAS, Since the adoption of the Appropriation Ordinance for the fiscal year ending December 31st, 1941, the U. S. Government has appropriated funds for the construction of an addition to the airport of the City of Grand Junction, and
WHEREAS, it has been necessary for said City to acquire title to the land necessary for such airport construction, and the expenses incidental to acquiring said land could not have been ascertained prior to the passage of said appropriation ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
Section 1. That there be and is hereby appropriated to the Miscellaneous Fund, the sum of Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars.
Section 2. That there be and is hereby appropriated to the Airport Fund, the sum of Eight Hundred ($800.00) Dollars.
Section 3. By reason of the fact that these expenses have been incurred and the appropriations for the Miscellaneous and Airport Funds will be overdrawn unless this ordinance is passed, and the public health, peace and safety demands the continuance of same, a special emergency is declared to exist and the City Council so finds and determines that the passage of this ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and therefore it shall take effect upon its passage.
Passed and adopted this 24th day of September, A. D. 1941.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance entitled, "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE PROVIDING A SPECIAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE AIRPORT AND MISCELLANEOUS FUNDS", was introduced, read, passed, numbered 650 and ordered published by the unanimous vote of the members of the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, at a special meeting of said Council held on the 24th day of September, A. D. 1941.
