ORDINANCE NO. 656

AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE PROVIDING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE AIRPORT.

WHEREAS, Since the adoption of the 1942 Appropriation Ordinance the U. S. Government, under the Civil Aeronautics Administration, has constructed an addition to the Municipal Airport for the City of Grand Junction; and

WHEREAS, It is necessary to move the improvements and the hangar to a new location in accordance with the terms of the agreement between the City of Grand Junction and the Civil Aeronautics Administration.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:

Section 1. That there be and is hereby appropriated out of the General Funds of the City, to the Airport Fund, the sum of Two Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($2,200.00).

By reason of the fact that it is necessary to immediately move the improvements and the hangar to their new location, and the Airport Fund will be overdrawn unless further funds are provided, and the public health, peace and safety demands that this work be done immediately, a special emergency exists. Therefore, the City Council finds and determines that the passage of this ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, peace and safety, and it shall take effect upon its passage.

Passed and adopted this 1st day of July, A. D. 1942.
