ORDINANCE NO. 710

 

 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 310 CONCERNING THE HAULING OF GARBAGE.

 

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 

 Section 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 310 shall be and it is hereby amended, so that as amended, it shall read as follows:

 

 Section 3. COLLECTION OF GARBAGE REGULATED. No person other than the City Garbage Collector shall collect, take up, haul upon the City Streets or alleys, or dispose of, any garbage as defined by Ordinance No. 179; and no person or persons, partnership or corporation shall permit any such garbage to be collected, taken up, or hauled away from the premises owned or occupied by him, her, them or it, other than by the City Garbage Collector.

 

 Section 2. The City Council hereby finds that a special emergency exists; that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and that it shall take effect upon passage.
