ORDINANCE NO. 747

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL APPROPRIATION TO THE FORCE ACCOUNT DIVISION OF THE GENERAL FUND AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, Since the 1947 budget was passed and adopted, and the appropriation ordinance for the year, was adopted, it has been deemed advisable to establish a Force Account Fund in order to take care of miscellaneous expenditures which had not been foreseen and previously provided for in the budget.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

Section 1. That there be and is hereby appropriated out of the unappropriated funds in the General Fund to the Force Account, the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00); and that there be and is hereby appropriated out of the ear-marked funds received by the City for the sale of the Y.M.C.A. building, the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) also to the Force Account Fund.

By reason of the fact that it is necessary to use the funds established in the Force Account Fund to carry out the work of the City, a special emergency exists. Therefore, the City Council finds and determines that the passage of this ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect upon its passage.

Passed and adopted this 2nd day of April, A. D. 1947.
