ORDINANCE NO. 748

 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 30 (b) OF ORDINANCE NO. 529 CONCERNING PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES.

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:

 SECTION 1. That Section 30 (b) of Ordinance No. 529, as amended, shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

 Section 30. Rules for standing or parking; (b) Diagonal parking: On Main Street between Second Street and Seventh Street, and on such other streets as the City Manager may designate and mark for such purpose, all vehicles shall be parked at an angle of forty-five degrees to the curb, with the right front wheel touching the curb; and where diagonal parking spaces are marked upon the pavement, all vehicles shall be parked in the center thereof.

 SECTION 2. In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists and this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, therefore it shall go into effect upon its passage.

 Passed and adopted this 7th day of May, A. D. 1947.
