ORDINANCE NO. 752
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION
WHEREAS a petition to annex the property hereinafter described to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, was filed with the City Clerk and considered by the City Council on June 18, 1947; and
WHEREAS the said City Council at that time found the said territory to be eligible for annexation, the petition to be signed by the required number of land owners, and all other requirements of House Bill No. 479, as passed and adopted on May 15, 1947, to be satisfactorily complied with; and
WHEREAS the City Council did accept and approve the said petition for annexation by its Resolution dated June 18, 1947; and
WHEREAS notice of the filing of said Petition has been published once each week for four publications in the Daily Sentinel, the first publication being on June 20, 1947, and the last publication being on July 11, 1947; and
WHEREAS more than 30 days have elapsed after the first publication of the said notice and no counter-petition or written objection to the said annexation has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Grand Junction;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO:
THAT the said annexation is approved and that the following-described property shall be and it is hereby declared to be annexed to the City of Grand Junction, Colorado:
The East Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 15, Township 1 South, Range 1 West of the Ute Meridian in Mesa County, Colorado, excepting therefrom Brown's Addition to the City of Grand Junction which is described as follows: Beginning at a point 430 feet South of the Northeast corner of said Section 15, thence North 89o11' West 267 feet; thence South 0o02' East 260 feet; thence South 89o11' East 267 feet; thence North 0o02' West 260 feet to the point of beginning.
Passed and adopted this 20th day of August, 1947.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance being Ordinance No.752 was introduced, read and ordered published by the City Council of the City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at a regular meeting of said body held on the 16th day of August, A. D. 1947, and that the same was published in The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper published and in general circulation in said city at least 10 days before its final passage.
